Why Adopting A Dog Is The Best Decision

Written by Lucas

All things aside like how much responsibility it is to take care of us, and how much we eat, and how we need to go all the way outside to use the bathroom, we dogs are pretty great. The Mayhew Animal Home in London created an ad to help us pooches find families by convincing people through this heartfelt advertisement why adopting a dog is the best decision you could ever make: unconditional love.

The humans in this video have horrible days, and the only thing that seems to get them through the cruelty and rudeness of other humans, is their four legged friend greeting them with happiness and love as soon as they walk through the door after said horrible day. I know that when my humans come home, I couldn’t be happier. I show them my highest jumping skills, I lick them with the saliva I’ve been saving up all day, and I show them how good I am at running in circles around their legs while they try to take off their coat. It’s a great moment when my whole family walks through that door every night, and there’s a dog out there for you that would love to greet you in the same way. Adoption can change your life, and the life of a dog who needs you, so why wouldn’t you go for it?

If you need more convincing, watch the ad video, but really, how could you pass up a face like this?

Aren’t I handsome?

Lucas

I'm a lean little pup from New York with a passion for shoes, napkins, and peanut butter. I like causing trouble, and I get away with it because, well look at me, I'm adorable. My humans are constantly screaming my name followed by "drop it" (this is when I know they want to see my best dance moves, so I chase my tail), or "be quiet" (they try to help me with my spying abilities as much as possible when I'm peeking out the window staring at our neighbors). I love making my humans chase me, and hanging out with all of my friends in the neighborhood. I am constantly checking my twitter while my humans are out at work, so say hi to me there!
