Watson The Three-Legged Dog Gets Rescued

Written by Alessia

This Hope For Paws video is a simple rescue of a pretty friendly dog who seems to take to Eldad quite quickly, but what’s unique about Watson is that he only has three legs. What I like about this HFP video is the song playing in the beginning, Ingrid Michaelson’s ‘The Way I Am’. At the end of the video, a picture of Watson is accompanied by the statement ‘please share this video to help me find a family that will love me the way I am’. I love that. Every dog is special and every dog deserves to have a loving home no matter what. The typical mindset going into a shelter for adoption is that cute little puppy who jumps at the door of his cage and cries out to you. I’m guilty of choosing Lucas and my last dog Maxi that way, but both times my dad and I went into the adoption with an open mind and decided that if there was an older dog who seemed to connect with us, it didn’t matter that he wasn’t a perfect little puppy. I hope from watching a few of these videos that you are our readers could consider going into adoptions in the same way, because it is important that all dogs have a loving home, three-legged, four-legged, or otherwise.

About the author

I'm Alessia, owner of a rottweiler/beagle mix named Lucas (aka Lucifer - you can put two and two together on why he gets that nickname). I love all things dogs and puppies, among many other things such as babies, coffee, and nail polish. I like to write a lot and take loads of pictures, so blogging is right up my alley. Look out for posts by me on this blog, as well as my personal blog.
