Puppy Faces Fear of Door Stop and Plays With It

Written by Alessia

Lucas has an irrational fear of the baby gate that we put up when we need to keep him in a certain area. When it’s at the top of our stairs and I throw his toy to play fetch, he won’t get it until he’s sure that the gate won’t fall down because of it. If the toy is close to the gate, he very cautiously goes up to it and grabs it before the gate has a chance to make any quick movements (he thinks it’s alive). This puppy Cooper seems to be having the same issue with his tennis ball and the door stop in his house. He starts off very cautious and doesn’t want to go near the door stop to get his ball, but he works towards it and with a little help from his human he realizes that maybe the door stop could replace the tennis ball as the new play thing! It’s pretty adorable.
