New Years resolutions for you and your dog

Written by Bronwyn Hall

It’s New Years Eve and 2015 looms!

If – like me – you usually find yourself at this time of year struggling to concoct a resolution, then have no fear!

For your perusal only I have gathered a list of canine-friendly ideas for your New Years resolution!

The cliché exercise plan – where would we be without this?! However, instead of promising to join the local gym with the other thousand new members, how about planning to take your dog(s) out running? Pounding the pavement with your canine pal can be much more refreshing and rewarding than hitting the treadmill. Not only that, but as well as investing in your own health you’ll get to see your four legged friend get into shape too!

A healthier eating plan can be found on most New Years resolution lists and now on yours too! Try swapping chocolates for fruit and alcohol for mocktails or smoothies. Just a little change can make a world of difference. If you’re also partial to treating your fur baby then try these gorgeously healthy Lily’s Kitchen treats instead!

Try out a new activity this year. A new hobby or sport can be a great way to shake things up in your life and meet new people. This can be a little daunting so try to rope in some friends too. Failing that, you can always take up something new with mans best friend – try dog yoga or dog agility classes for something fun with like minded people!
