Networking to Save Rosie in the Desert

Written by Alessia

This week’s Hope for Paws video that I watched was a little bit different from the rest, and I think it’s a very important video to share with all of you. Rosie was abandoned and living in the desert where it was over 100 degrees fahrenheit every day. A woman named Donna was concerned enough to try and capture the dog humanely, but didn’t have any luck. After trying a few times she made flyers and put them up all around the area telling people where the dog was and to drop off food to the spot and try to humanely capture her if they could. The flyers made their way to craigslist, and all of the networking is what kept Rosie alive, even though no one could manage to capture her before Eldad tried his luck. After a few hours he finally got her, and it’s thanks to all of the flyers and networking that Donna did that really saved Rosie. This is such a great idea – if there is ever an abandoned dog in your area, flyers and networking are a great way to help save the dog’s life.
