It lead us to think about how to bring a newborn baby into a family that already has a dog. It can be a stressful time for everyone but there are many easy things you can do to make the new baby and dog feel comfortable and not excluded.
Family Paws™ Parent Education is the parent organisation of two International licensed programs: Dogs & Storks® and the Dog and Baby Connection™. They provide specialised programs for new and expecting families with dogs. They offer a wide range of support to families, dog professionals and childbirth professionals to support success between babies, toddlers and family dogs.
Their goal is to increase the safety of children and the success of dogs in homes with children. They seek to decrease the number of dogs surrendered to shelters due to easily preventable behavioural problems and common conflicts.
We found this excellent baby and dog safety tip infographic by Family Paws that we thought we would share with you.
