Known as the dog that never grows old, the Cavapoochon is one of those special breeds that captured the hearts of the masses by storm. With their adorable puppy-eyes, fluffy coats and small bodies, this man-made breed quickly grew in popularity across the UK and the US.

Cava-what?

The Cavapoochon is a triple-cross breed, combining the best traits of the Cavalier King Charles, Bichon Frise and Toy Poodle. The result is this adorable miniature dog that looks like a puppy forever! This hybrid is considered to be made of the most popular breeds to combine the best of all of their characteristics. Not only do they have a longer lifespan of 18-20 years, but they’re also hypoallergenic, making them perfect pets for those with allergies!

Physical Characteristics

In terms of physical characteristics, this breed’s appearance is part of its charm!

  • Puppy Eyes: The most noticeable feature of these canines is that they will forever look like puppies, even when they grow up!
  • Thick Fleece Coat: The Cavapoochon is known for their fleece coat, which is entirely hypoallergenic. Their fur can be either wavy or curly, depending on the breeding parents of your pup. As Cavapoochon puppies grow up, their coat will be replaced with more silky and sleek fur which can be easily maintained.
  • Size: Considered a small – medium sized breed, Cavapoochons usually reach a height of 30cm, the size of a small Cocker Spaniel.
  • No Shedding: A perk of this breed is that due to their thick coats and breeding history, these pooches don’t shed!

In terms of care and maintenance, regular grooming and bathing is recommended to keep your Cavapoochon’s looking and smelling fantastic! Routine brushing, especially as they grow up, will help keep their fur silky and soft and save you the trouble of any knots!

As an energetic and excitable dog, this breed loves to run around and play, and will make for a perfect playtime partner for any kids in the family. Taking your Cavapoochon on regular walks is essential, and giving them a short period of playtime will help keep them active and avoid any frustration!
